We’ve built our business on questions, lots of questions. Our curiosity leads us to ask and answer: What is already there? What is missing? What do you want? What is workable, in terms of budget and the owners willingness to maintain? How much education is needed or willing to be consumed to create a landscape plan that works for the land and the property owner?

We encourage our clients to also lead with curiosity and wonder. I have always wanted... It would be perfect if... I have no idea about the details, but when I pull up to my driveway or neighborhood I want to feel proud of what has been accomplished.

 

For you ses, lifecycle landscape design, maintenance and management isn’t ‘plant it and forget it’, it is a partnership between the environment and the plants, the homeowner to the property, and the designer to the greenspace.

 

It’s our job to bring an artist's eye to envision what a space needs, to think way ahead about how the plantings will develop, how different textures of leaves will create interest, and how branches and flowering plants will fit together. We’re seeking the right amount of details to make a space complete, lacking very little, while futurecasting about how plants will grow wider and taller, how spring colors will work, how fall colors will work, how will the timing of blooming work, and equally as important, how much work is a homeowner or a maintenance crew is capable of contributing
over time.
